Set in France, a Parisian rises from the Quartier Latin to Saint‑Tropez and New York, becoming the emblem of a generation. In 1954, 19‑year‑old Francoise Sagan bursts onto the scene with *Bonjour Tristesse*. Flamboyant and scandal‑prone, she lives on the edge—gambling at roulette, buying and wrecking sports cars, dancing and leaving a trail of lovers.
