Reine Ducasse, fresh from boarding high school, moves into her wealthy father Louis’s apartment and begins a history degree. She is close to Frédéric, a medical student with hidden hopes, and meets Philippe, who says he is Louis’s stockbroker, and Marguerite, who claims to be his former secretary. A videotape she finds shows young bikers distributing cash, and later biker Charles arrives at her door injured.
