Erik rows back from Paris to Finland, attacked by a rural gang, walks to Helsinki, then returns home and to his radical‑filled high school where discipline is seen as oppression. He gets involved with Annika, a wealthy classmate, trying marijuana, and joins protests that turn into a violent school strike, ending with police intervention and harsh penalties.
