A severely traumatized, disillusioned Vietnam veteran returns to his San Francisco hometown after a two‑year tour of duty. Consumed by rage and repulsed by the surrounding decay, he spirals into violent aggression, attacking prostitutes, family members and anyone who crosses his dangerous, haunted path. The bleak, noir tone underscores his mental collapse and the moral rot he perceives.
