After the first film, Hutch accepts new covert assignments from The Barber to cover the debt he owes for destroying the Russian obshchak. At the amusement park, Brady's misbehavior triggers a scene when Max's anger over a destroyed plush leads to trouble for the family. Hutch ends up beating a staff member who slapped Sammy, drawing Wyatt's ire and bringing Abel, the park owner and corrupt sheriff, into their orbit. The incident strains the family and marks Hutch as a target.
