Amidst the police backup flooding the scene, Washington manages to make a daring escape in a stolen squad car, leaving two officers dead in his wake.
In the aftermath, District Attorney Morganstern (Leibman) decides to appoint Casey's son, Sean (García](/actor/andy-garcia)), a former cop turned Assistant District Attorney, to take on the prosecution of Washington once he is caught.
