Mr. Vampire II

Kwok, an archaeologist, leads two students into a remote cave and uncovers three jiangshi—an adult male, an adult female, and a male child—immobilized by talismans on their foreheads. They ferry the creatures back to Kwok's lab to study and potentially exploit them. Kwok immediately decides to sell the boy vampire on the black market.

Back at the lab, Kwok weighs the financial gain of selling the boy vampire and begins to organize the practical steps to put him on the market. He weighs risk against reward and considers how to keep the other jiangshi under control. The potential payday drives his actions in the immediate aftermath.

During transport or handling, Kwok strips the talisman from the boy's forehead, waking him from his immobilized state. The awakened boy wanders into a nearby house and befriends a little girl who mistakes him for a lost immigrant boy. This bond raises the stakes for the investigators.

Back at the lab, Kwok's students mischievously remove the talismans from the adult vampires, reviving them. The newly awakened vampires hop around and attack passersby, creating immediate danger. The group struggles to subdue them and restore a fragile calm, at least temporarily.

One of Kwok's students is bitten by the male vampire during the chaos. He seeks treatment from Dr Lam, who recognizes the bite marks and realizes vampires are loose in town. Lam begins to formulate a plan to eradicate the threat with his allies.

Lam enlists his daughter Gigi and her prospective son-in-law Yen to help track the vampires and destroy them. He instructs them to secretly follow Kwok's student back to the lab to locate the vampires. The trio prepares for a covert operation against the rising menace.

While Gigi heads to notify the police, Yen accidentally removes the talismans on the vampires' foreheads and awakens them. Lam and Gigi intervene and join the fight to bring the situation under control again, using whatever resources they can find. The encounter underscores how quickly the threat can escalate.

Lam and Gigi engage the awakened vampires in a protracted confrontation. They manage to subdue the creatures temporarily using sedatives from the lab, and the police arrive to take the vampires to the morgue for containment. The uneasy calm is short-lived as the vampires’ return becomes inevitable.

In the morgue, Lam and Yen attempt to kill the vampires with a wooden sword but fail to stop them. Kwok and his students arrive to extract vampire blood to cure their own bites, then carry the vampires out to load them into the back of a truck. The group makes a tense escape as authorities close in.

The truck is stopped at a roadblock, but the two escaping vampires break free. The boy vampire, watching the chaos on the news, emits a cry that alerts the adult vampires to the boy's location. The chase resumes as darkness descends.

Lam and Yen, aided by the police, reach the children's house where the townsfolk have grown attached to the boy vampire. They manage to kill the two adult vampires, ending the immediate threat to the community. The children respond with relief and fear fades for the moment.

However, Yen decides to spare the boy vampire by injecting him with anesthetic and disguising him in ordinary clothes as they slip away unseen. Kwok arrives at the scene and collapses from shock, and his students reveal that they have become vampires themselves due to their failed attempt to obtain vampire blood for a cure.
