Nancy Carroll plays Babs, a college student yearning for stardom. She and her fellow theater‑goers Fred (Richard Arlen) and Bob (Danny O’Shea) head to Broadway, only to encounter the ruthless producer Renov (Paul Lukas) and his domineering wife (Lilyan Tashman). A whimsical mythological prologue opens the silent film, which includes two brief musical numbers featuring Carroll.
