Yumi, a call‑girl known as “night‑blooming flower,” and Tetsuro, a married man in debt to the yakuza, clash in a night at a love hotel. Haunted by that memory, they reunite years later, begin an obsessive love affair and return to the hotel to finish what began. The film mixes absurdity with operatic emotion, as forces bind the broken souls.
