A young man named Katsu arrives in a quiet seaside town and takes a job as a movie‑reel carrier at the local cinema. Though the townspeople repeatedly ask, “Is this Katsu?” he merely smiles and laughs, hinting that the place may be his hometown. The cinema owner’s wife, who has grown close to Katsu as he settles into the community, becomes increasingly intrigued by his mysterious past.
