Love Like the Falling Petals

Haruto, a budding photographer, meets Misaki, a kind young hairdresser. Misaki reveals that he was her very first client, and Haruto finds this endearing, immediately falling in love with her at first sight.

Haruto continues returning to get his hair cut by Misaki, which allows them to grow closer over time. Their interactions become more frequent and comfortable, deepening their bond.

During a haircut, Haruto decides to ask Misaki on a date. However, as he moves his head, he causes Misaki to accidentally cut the tip of his earlobe, resulting in a profuse bleed that makes him faint.

A few days later, Misaki frantically meets with Haruto to apologize for the accident. In a fortunate twist, she agrees to go on a date when Haruto brings up the idea again.

Misaki's older brother expresses his disapproval of her dating Haruto. He is protective of her, wanting to ensure her well-being amidst their developing relationship.

On their first date, they enjoy a beautiful walk under cherry blossoms. Haruto admits he is at a crossroads in his life, which angers Misaki, prompting her to encourage him not to give up on his dreams.

Inspired by Misaki's words, Haruto vows to become someone she can be proud of. He secures a job at a photo studio, dedicating himself to hard work and self-improvement.

After proving himself, Haruto asks Misaki out again, and she agrees. Their first official date is a success, and they find themselves enjoying each other's company more seriously.

Their romance takes a somber turn when Misaki falls ill and visits the doctor. She is diagnosed with progeroid syndrome, an illness that significantly accelerates aging and deteriorates her health.

Devastated by her diagnosis, Misaki isolates herself and ends her relationship with Haruto. She pretends to have found a new job and cuts off all communication, leaving Haruto heartbroken.

While Misaki struggles with her illness, her brother takes on the role of caregiver. Despite their efforts to find viable treatments, they face disappointment as many options prove ineffective.

In a desperate attempt to help his sister, Misaki's brother invests time and money in an expensive electromagnetic therapy clinic. Unfortunately, they discover the clinic is a scam preying on vulnerable patients.

As time progresses, Misaki's condition deteriorates, causing her to lose hope in life. Concurrently, Haruto is heartbroken and attempts to move forward in his own life.

Despite the pain, Haruto channels his emotions into his photography. His efforts start yielding positive results, aiding in his own healing process as he learns to cope with his loss.
