Calvin Wheeler, a crafty 13‑year‑old obsessed with his rare comic books, gets tangled with a show‑dog while skateboarding. The dog’s owner pressures him into adopting a shelter pet. The only dog left is Tyko, a rough‑around‑the‑edges Labrador‑St Bernard mix, whose wild energy quickly overwhelms Calvin’s plans. He must learn responsibility and patience as training the unruly pup turns into a chaotic adventure.
