Since the 1970s, the Greek island of Lesvos, the birthplace of the poet Sappho, has become a haven for lesbians from across the globe. A unique queer community flourishes in a local village, but their presence sparks tensions with the island's residents. The documentary filmmaker, Tzeli Hadjidimitriou, who is herself a native and a lesbian, explores over four decades of love, community building, and conflict as both groups grapple with questions of identity and belonging.
