Szabolcs, a talented but passionless football player, mishandles a game and is expelled with a red card. The poor performance causes disappointment among his teammates and spectators. Following the incident, a league scout leaves, indicating a setback for his football career.

After quitting the team, Szabolcs returns to his rural family home in Hungary, choosing a quieter life by farming bees. This marks a significant shift from his previous passion for football to a more solitary and humble lifestyle. He begins to work on restoring his deteriorated family property.

One night, Áron, a local young man caring for his invalid mother, tries to steal Szabolcs's scooter. Szabolcs intervenes, knocking Áron out, but stays with him afterward until he wakes up. This event ignites the beginning of their complex relationship.

Instead of calling the police, Szabolcs chooses compassion and enlists Áron to help repair the dilapidated house. Their interaction fosters a bond, leading to a friendship as Szabolcs integrates into the local community and starts playing football with the villagers.

After a night of swimming and drinking too much, Szabolcs and Áron lie on the road. Szabolcs gives Áron a handjob while he is barely conscious, which leaves Áron confused about his feelings. This event adds depth and complication to their relationship.

As hostility from the villagers intensifies, Áron faces assaults and criticism from his friends and mother. Feeling unwelcome, he moves into Szabolcs's farmhouse, strengthening their bond amidst growing social pressure.

Despite Bernard’s attempts to sway him back to Germany, Szabolcs opts to remain in Hungary with Áron. Bernard eventually leaves, signifying Szabolcs’s commitment to his new life and relationship.

While caring for his mother, Áron finds her gravely ill, and he takes her to the hospital. She falls into a coma, leaving Áron overwhelmed by guilt and helplessness for not being there during her decline.

Overcome with guilt and emotional turmoil, Áron leaves the hospital and reunites with Szabolcs at the farmhouse. Their relationship intensifies, but tragedy strikes as Áron stabs Szabolcs, leading to a fatality.

Following the deadly stabbing, Áron flees the scene, leaving the farmhouse. His act marks a tragic end to their intertwined lives, leaving unresolved tensions and emotional scars.
