Catherine and Yann, a long-married couple, had planned a year of travel abroad, but Yann’s preoccupation with bonsai trees and the sale of his business has repeatedly delayed their trip. Their plans are further complicated when their 27-year-old daughter and her boyfriend unexpectedly move in after losing their apartment. As Yann grapples with a mid-life crisis and their daughter's extended stay becomes increasingly intrusive, Catherine struggles to reclaim her life and get their travel plans back on track.
