Bickford Waner, a seemingly innocent young man from Fort Worth, drifts into the tiny Texas town of Dime Box looking for work. He befriends local Reese Ford and his wife Molly, who soon seduces him. When his former lover Janet Conforto arrives, Bickford’s true identity as the infamous train‑robber Kid Blue is revealed. Humiliated, he abandons his attempt to go straight and plans a heist.
