The film culminates when the supernatural child, Jade, finally brings the forces that saved her mother — the witch‑like healer Almera — to Clark’s doorstep. After the van crash that killed most of her family, Jade’s uncanny abilities let her survive and even try to resurrect the dead, but the people she revives turn into soulless, zombie‑like husks. Determined to restore her mother Loreta, Jade lures Clark and Eileen into the jungle, where the zombified passengers stalk them and force them back to the site of the accident.

There, Jade begins a dark ritual that uses Eileen’s body as a vessel for Loreta’s soul. Clark’s police friend Jake arrives just in time to intervene, only to be slain by the girl’s otherworldly powers. In the chaos, a zombie brother of Loreta shoots Clark, killing him, while Jade’s frantic attacks on Loreta’s decapitated torso prove futile.

When the dust settles, Eileen awakens alone in the jungle clearing. The final moments suggest that the soul‑transfer never completed: Loreta’s spirit does not inhabit Eileen, and the torso of her mother lies inert. Instead, Jade’s desperate need for a mother is satisfied by the love Eileen has already given her; the girl chooses to protect the woman who cared for her rather than sacrifice her.

The movie ends with Jade and a bewildered — yet alive — Eileen driving back toward Manila, leaving the ruined remains of Loreta’s body behind. Their departure hints that the nightmare has ended for now, but the lingering mystery of Jade’s powers and the price of tampering with the occult remain unresolved.
