Jumpin' Jack Flash

Teresa 'Terry' Doolittle works at the First National Bank in Manhattan. Despite her charm and competence, she struggles to fit into her stern corporate environment, often facing reprimands from her boss, James Page.

In the midst of a tense pre-Glasnost Cold War, Terry receives a strange message on her computer from an individual known as 'Jumpin' Jack Flash'. Unbeknownst to her, he is a British Intelligence agent seeking her help from afar.

Terry is tasked with decoding a riddle that serves as a password for Jack. Drawing inspiration from a Rolling Stones song, she smartly deduces the password to be B-flat, enabling Jack to move forward with their communications.

Jack instructs Terry to relay a peculiar message to the British Consulate's Department C. Feeling ridiculous but compliant, she visits consul minister Jeremy Talbot, only to have her claims dismissed without further investigation.

After her visit to the consulate, Terry becomes the subject of surveillance. CIA agent Peter Caen, working undercover, begins to monitor her activities to ensure her safety amidst escalating threats.

While searching for a frying pan at Jack's apartment, Terry encounters danger as a supposed computer technician appears. When he disappears, her anxiety spikes, culminating in an attempted abduction where she fiercely defends herself with the frying pan.

Terry meets Mark Van Meter, a contact of Jack's, at the docks. Unfortunately, he soon becomes a target and is tragically shot, leaving Terry shaken and ultimately imprisoned for her involvement in the unfolding drama.

As the police dismiss her frantic claims about the danger she’s in, Peter acts quickly to bail Terry out of jail. With his help, she narrowly escapes being trapped in a situation that could have sealed her fate.

Desperate for answers, Terry reconnects with Jack online, receiving instruction on hacking into the British Consulate’s system. Disguised as an entertainer, she gains access but is stopped by Talbot before she can send vital information.

Terry finds herself targeted by the KGB during her mission, leading to a harrowing escape from an interrogation session. The tension peaks as she navigates a dangerous web of manipulation and betrayal.

Terry pleads for assistance from Lady Sarah Billings, facing initial resistance. When Sarah finally agrees to help, it backfires as it turns out her contact is actually a KGB traitor, deepening Terry’s troubles.

After enduring a near-torturous experience at the hands of her captors, Terry fights back fiercely. This confrontation culminates in a dramatic showdown with both KGB operatives and Talbot at the bank, showcasing her resilience.

In the heat of the conflict, Marty reveals his true identity as a CIA agent and successfully relays crucial information to Jack. This pivotal moment uncovers the true nature of friendships and betrayals in Terry's world.

The movie concludes with Jack finally appearing at Terry’s office after much anticipation. Expressing his gratitude for her invaluable assistance, they go out for dinner, solidifying their partnership in both espionage and personal connection.
