In the early 1920s, wealthy Teddy Anker pours his fortune into a theatre, and his ventures consistently thrive. He becomes enamored with dancer Karin, and decides to produce a new show starring her as the lead. Yet for the first time, this production ends in a financial disaster, shattering his unbroken streak.
