Three seemingly unrelated suicides occur in Tokyo on the same day: a young athlete, a groom at his wedding reception, and an elderly man celebrating his wife's birthday. A middle‑aged detective notices each victim whispered “green monkey” before dying. With a young psychiatrist he suspects hypnosis is involved, as more bizarre deaths follow, heightening the mystery and a race to stop them.
