In 1915, Helene Schjerfbeck lives a secluded life with her mother in the countryside, her artistic career seemingly over. Years have passed since her last exhibition, and she paints solely out of passion. Her life is transformed when an art dealer discovers her and her extensive collection of 159 paintings, planning a private showing.
