In the end, Zuko Khumalo successfully exposes Daza Mtima’s corrupt regime, aiming to bring justice to South Africa. Despite Mtima’s attempts to buy his silence with money, Zuko remains resolute, refusing to betray his morals. When Mo, the PIA agent, who had been working for Mtima but was haunted by her past, decides to shoot Mtima dead in a moment of moral conflict, justice is served. Mo’s action removes the corrupt politician permanently, and with her last act, she sacrifices her own life. The chaos ends with the death of Mtima, while other involved conspirators are either killed or captured. The public revelation of Johnny’s files leads to the arrest of many corrupt figures, and Zuko, along with Naledi, walks away free, having achieved the mission of truth and justice. With the threat gone, Zuko chooses to retreat from his violent past and return to a peaceful life in the countryside with his son, seeking a fresh start away from the chaos of politics and violence. Malime and Pakamile are left behind in his memories, symbolizing his hope for a better future, while he hopes to rebuild a life based on honesty, family, and peace.”
