Hannibal is a courteous boy whose parents worry he spends too much time in front of the TV, so they give him a dog named Jerry. Jerry is no ordinary pet—he cannot bark but can speak. The scheming toy‑maker Uncle Grandfather and his sidekick Uncle Harry plot to capture Jerry, leading to a series of confrontations that involve a sly dog trader, an ill‑fated glazier and a pair of distinctive police officers.
