The film follows Varun Dhyan Sreenivasan, Prakashan Aju Varghese, Ajaz Sreenath Bhasi, and Jamsheer Hareesh Perumanna, four unemployed youths from Kozhikode who carry big hopes for a brighter future. Each one wrestles with pressure to make something of themselves, but their early attempts to break into success keep ending in disappointment. They pool their resources to try a variety of ventures, including launching a taxi service financed by pledging their homes, an endeavor that quickly spirals into mounting debt.
In a bid to unlock quick money, they decide to cash in on a prized asset: a painting that Varun’s father has tended in his cafe. They promise themselves it will fetch a fortune, but the plan falters and leaves them deeper in the red. Amid these misfires, Ajaz’s dream of moving to Dubai to work with a shady racket also collapses after he’s cheated, underscoring how far their hopes have to travel before they become reality.
The tension intensifies when the gang steals the painting from Varun’s father’s cafe and sells it for five lakhs. Das reveals that the piece is even more valuable—worth a crore—and tricks them into buying it back from Padma, an art buyer for galleries, only to have the painting end up back where it belongs. A fierce quarrel follows, driving the friends apart and turning them into rivals.
Years later, Varun and Prakashan receive cryptic calls about a “Bos painting,” a work associated with Prakashan’s own signature. Varun reaches out to Padma to propose selling a Bos painting and travels to Kochi to meet her. The painting in question unfolds as a reflection of their friendship, depicting all of their companions against a vast ocean backdrop. Padma offers them a chance to exhibit the piece, placing a lofty price tag of ten lakh rupees in the hope of clearing their debts.
As the other friends converge in Kochi for the exhibition, the event initially falters—the painting fails to sell and Padma eventually takes it back. Then she reveals a pivotal truth: she had known all along that Prakashan was Bos and that he possesses genuine artistic talent. In a generous gesture, she pays them ten lakhs, enabling them to settle their debts. With money restored and old tensions soothed, the four friends come together once more, choosing to repair their bonds and face the future as a united group.
