Filmmaker Engeli Broberg follows Gabi over five years, documenting her journey between the ages of 8 and 13 as she navigates a period of significant personal transformation. Gabi questions traditional gender roles from a young age and increasingly feels disconnected from the expected norms. The film explores her struggles with puberty, a move to a new school, and her desire to express herself through a short haircut, finding inspiration in images of football players. It’s an intimate portrait of a child asserting her right to define her own identity and grow up on her own terms.
