Turkish guest worker Husseyin lives in a cramped shared flat in 1970s West Berlin, commuting daily to a factory that presses machine parts. He scrupulously saves his wages, dreaming of marriage and buying a house back home. Yet his Berlin future is shadowed by daily humiliations from racist coworkers and awkward, failed attempts at romance, underscoring his isolation.
