After being expelled from Heaven, Ugo Fantozzi is returned to Earth while celestial officials arrange his place there. He rescues his punk‑style granddaughter Uga, battles a massive telephone bill from nonstop chat‑line calls, and is mistakenly arrested instead of his corrupt former boss. Just as he is about to watch Italy’s World Cup final, he is called back to the afterlife, wondering if peace will ever find him.
