After three decades at a large corporation, Ugo Fantozzi retires and suddenly finds his days empty. He tries a variety of activities—helping Pina shop, babysitting his granddaughter Uga, visiting Venice, and learning golf. He forges documents to get a new job, but his hypochondria stops him from taking a long‑awaited chance with Miss Silvani.
