Champion race‑car driver quits to marry as his new wife opposes his racing. Soon she leaves him, taking their infant son for San Francisco. He learns the child is gravely ill there but lacks transport. In a final twist, his father‑in‑law introduces a new car built for a cross‑country race to San Francisco, giving him a chance to reach his son.
