Set in 1980s British Columbia, Canada, this coming-of-age story follows Mike Drinkwater, an awkward teenager struggling to fit in and facing bullying from wealthy school jock Luke Ryan. Mike’s eccentric father, Hank, is entangled in fraudulent schemes and carries a long-standing feud with Luke’s father, Wesley, seemingly contributing to Luke’s animosity. The arrival of Wallace, a young woman from the United States dealing with her own past trauma, brings a transformative influence on Mike and the community, offering hope and a chance for healing.
