Lost in the Australian Outback, a young girl is rescued by a friendly kangaroo who carries her in its pouch while they hunt for her way back home. Their journey is accompanied by musical koalas, platypuses and kookaburras. Based on Ethel Pedley’s 1899 children’s book, the film blends animated humans and animals with live‑action scenery.
