Nobita visits a dinosaur exhibition with his friend and vows to discover a real dinosaur. He trips on a rock while leaving the exhibition and suspects he has found a fossil egg. He then shares his bold vow with his friends, setting the adventure in motion.

Doraemon uses Time Wrapping Cloth on the fossil egg

Back home, Nobita convinces Doraemon to wrap the fossil egg in the time-transport cloth. Two Sinosauropteryx hatch from the egg, a new species not listed in the Complete Encyclopedia of Space. Nobita names the twins Kyu and Myu.
