Scar‑wounded and ridiculed, Don Quixote still summons his fading courage to chase impossible dreams, while he and his loyal squire Sancho Panza roam the Spanish countryside defending the helpless and performing deeds for his idealized Dulcinea. Orson Welles filmed his version from 1957‑1972; the project remained unfinished at his 1985 death, was later assembled by Jesús Franco, and finally released in 1992.
