A lively Columbia B‑plus melodrama, this 1930s remake of Frank Capra’s silent Submarine follows submarine lieutenants Dorgan (Richard Dix) and Mason (Chester Morris) as they vie for the affection of dance‑hall singer Carmen (Dolores del Rio).
