Humanity, after the Gadoll apocalypse, shelters inside the 3,000‑meter mobile fortress Deca‑dence. Inhabitants are either Gears—fighters against the Gadoll—or Tankers, who cannot fight. Tanker Natsume, eager to become a Gear, meets Kaburagi, a jaded armor repairman. Their clash of optimism and cynicism sets the future of Deca‑dence and humanity at stake.
