In California in the early 1960s buzzes with fast‑living parties, surf‑inspired pop hits and instant fame. Jan and Dean ride the wave, cruising in muscle cars while chicks and groovy beaches define the cool era. By 1966 they seem poised to become rock‑and‑roll legends, but a devastating car crash leaves Jan brain‑damaged and shatters their dreams.
