Blue‑collar worker Vince wanders into a dance academy and is captivated by its music. Manager and former owner Miss McKenzie moves to evict him, but Moon, the new jazz instructor, defends him. Though the owner insists Moon teach, Miss McKenzie hates his modern style and will stop at nothing, to preserve her vision, to have Moon and Vince expelled.
