In the 17th century, Italian monks imprison a demon that had possessed one of their own deep within the monastery’s catacombs. Four centuries later, teacher Elizabeth Magrino arrives to study the site, unaware that her presence, along with the current monks, awakens the sealed evil, unleashing a malevolent force.
