Alex, a merchant seaman, returns to his rocky coastal hometown and takes up residence at his mother’s bed‑and‑breakfast. He is surrounded by a deeply dysfunctional family: a mother who finds him alluring, a sister still obsessed with him and with her former boyfriend Jean‑Louis, who unexpectedly reappears. As his relatives press for his attention, Alex is engulfed by his own troubled mind, barely noticing the sexual tension swirling around him.
