In post‑apocalyptic New York a millennium later, survivor groups—the Norms, the Mutates and the Upriver People—vie for existence. When the Upriver People murder the Norm chief and capture their people, two Norm refugees must ally with the Mutates, who once kidnapped Norm women to breed healthy offspring, to defeat the Uprivers intent on destroying the Mutates.
