Scott, a troubled teen, dreams of becoming a professional drag‑race driver. With financial backing from his father Jeff, he makes a series of shaky attempts to break into the sport. Rejecting his father's advice, Scott leaves home and works as a road‑crew assistant for a top drag‑racer, hoping to earn his place on the fastest tracks.
