In moody black‑and‑white style that blends western and film‑noir, Angel and his friend Max sail to Honeyfield, an Australian coastal town. Angel, planning to return home to die, dies aboard and leaves his boots and an unopened package addressed to “The Dead Man.” A sinister passenger, Tatts, follows Angel unseen.
