Ben Russell, a 24-year-old from Los Angeles, brings his girlfriend Cassie to his rural Oregon hometown for Christmas. It's Cassie’s first time meeting his family: his quirky father, loving but strict mother, younger sister who is an aspiring vlogger, and an older brother with a mysterious past. The initial meeting is awkward, and family dynamics begin to reveal cracks in Cassie's relationship with Ben. After a late-night conversation leads to a sudden breakup, Cassie finds herself unable to leave due to winter weather and the remote location.
