After misunderstandings and a hard life, a man divorces his wife and leaves the city. He moves to a new environment, meets new people and a new wife. Torn between two worlds, he works to guide his new wife's two sons onto the right path while trying to rebuild his own life. Feeling deeply powerless to effect change, he ultimately coldly commits murder.
