On November 12, 1975, a pivotal moment unfolds as Dahlia Iyad arrives at the bustling airport of Beirut, Lebanon. As she navigates through the maze of narrow alleys and vibrant bazaars, Dahlia finds herself slipping quietly into the back seat of a waiting car, which whisks her away to a fortified compound. It is here that she meets Nageeb, a Palestinian co-conspirator who introduces her to a critical piece of evidence: a clandestine film showcasing an American prisoner of war named Mike Lander admitting to his war crimes before his North Vietnamese captors. While Nageeb expresses concern over Lander’s unstable demeanor, warning Dahlia against relying on him for her impending mission, she remains steadfast, believing she can manipulate the situation to her advantage. In a moment of grave importance, Dahlia instructs Nageeb to destroy the film, convinced that its existence poses a threat to her carefully laid plans. Fueled by determination, she records a defiant audio message on behalf of her guerrilla group, Black September, proclaiming that it is time for Americans to atone for their support of Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians.

As night descends, the plot takes a darker turn. Israeli commando Major David Kabakov spearheads a vicious assault on the compound. Upon entering Nageeb’s quarters and eliminating him, Kabakov stumbles upon Dahlia, who is showering in an adjacent bathroom. Mistaking her for Nageeb’s mistress or a local escort, he chooses to spare her life. In the ensuing chaos, Kabakov’s team collects vital evidence, including Dahlia’s tape recorder, before obliterating the compound in an explosive climax.

Just three days later, on November 14, Mike Lander, now piloting a Goodyear blimp over a packed football game at Los Angeles’s Coliseum, is gripped by frustration. Despite his expertise, he struggles to align the blimp and its overhead camera against the frustratingly turbulent winds, frustrating the television crew around him. His reputation within the aviation community hangs in delicate balance, bolstered by the sheer audacity of attempting such a challenging flight.

On November 17, a tense situation arises in Washington, D.C., as F.B.I. agent Sam Corley is summoned to the Israeli embassy. There, Kabakov presents Dahlia’s taped message, noting the menacing tone that implies a pretext for a catastrophic terrorist attack intended for January. Recognizing Dahlia from their prior encounter, Kabakov grapples with insufficient knowledge of her true identity.

Meanwhile, Dahlia ventures to Lander’s apartment, finding him emotionally frayed due to her three-day absence. Believing she has betrayed him, Lander’s resentment threatens to unravel his fragile state. To stabilize him, Dahlia gifts him a statuette of the Madonna, crafted from an explosive compound essential for his upcoming endeavor, hoping to reignite his focus. Encouraging Lander to attend his Veteran’s Administration rehabilitation meeting, she seeks to bolster his resolve, fearing he might lose his piloting position should he fail to regain his composure.

As November 23 rolls around, Dahlia and Lander engage in a perilous operation at Long Beach harbor, unloading mysterious wooden crates. Sensing danger, they narrowly escape capture from the Coast Guard, yet their activities draw the attention of the F.B.I. The situation escalates dramatically when the freighter captain faces intimidation from Kabakov and his associate Robert Moshevsky, leading to a fatal explosion that claims the captain’s life and injures Kabakov.

Dahlia, driven to confront Kabakov after catching a glimpse of him on the news, embarks on a chilling mission to the hospital, intent on administering a lethal dose of potassium chloride. However, her plans collide with Moshevsky’s presence, forcing her to improvise, resulting in a shocking assassination during an elevator encounter.

As the narrative progresses, Kabakov’s relentless pursuit for answers takes him to the office of Muzi, who unveils vital details regarding Dahlia’s operation, linking her to a shadowy Egyptian source named Mamud al Bernardi. The tension mounts as Dahlia and Lander prepare for their daring mission while evading the increasing scrutiny from the authorities.

In the lead-up to January 1, 1976, the stakes escalate as Corley and Kabakov realize that Dahlia has resurfaced in Miami. However, their attempts to intercept her fall short as she has already slipped back to Los Angeles. A nervous agent Fasil warns Dahlia of the escalating danger, yet her commitment to the mission remains unyielding.

As the highly anticipated Super Bowl X nears, the intricate web of deception tightens. On January 18, Lander reluctantly accepts a new pilot in his place, leading Dahlia to execute a plan of cold-blooded elimination. With her coupling to Lander growing more perilous at each turn, the two become embroiled in a deadly sequence of events at the stadium.

When the critical moment arrives, all hell breaks loose as Lander unleashes chaos in the air, transforming the blimp into a weapon of mass devastation. As Kabakov and Corley scramble to course-correct the impending calamity, the protagonist’s fortitude paves the path toward a heart-stopping climax, culminating in an explosive denouement that could either seal their fates or save the lives of thousands.
