Set in a 1980s Lower East Side apartment, Beirut explores how hope and love endure even during a plague. The story follows Torch, a young man quarantined after testing positive for an unnamed disease, and his girlfriend, who chooses to stay with him despite the risks. A raw and poetic exploration of the human spirit, the film highlights the power of storytelling to foster hope, solidarity, and a record of extraordinary times.
