After entering Jerusalem, Jesus spends his final days amidst mounting hostility. Seen as a political and religious threat, the authorities resolve to arrest, try, and condemn him as a criminal. This plan is facilitated by his disciple Judas Iscariot, whose betrayal sets the tragic course toward his crucifixion.
