In 1971, Attica Correctional Facility is a pressure cooker of simmering tensions between inmates and staff. On September 9th, those tensions explode into a full-blown riot, quickly escalating into one of the most significant and tragic prison uprisings in United States history. As violence erupts and chaos reigns, the distinction between prisoner and guard becomes dangerously blurred, forcing a reckoning with the complex issues within the justice system.
