Lynn anticipates a joyous weekend celebrating her son's wedding, but the family reunion quickly becomes fraught with tension. As she reconnects with her estranged family, old conflicts resurface, and emotional wounds are reopened. Her daughter Alice struggles with personal demons, while her middle child Elliot uses sharp wit to deflect deeper feelings. Lynn's hopes for a happy occasion are challenged by her distant mother, her ailing father, and judgmental sisters, not to mention her ex-husband Paul and his new wife Patty, who add further fuel to the fire.
