Henriette lives alone in a large Wiesbaden apartment she inherited, leading a quiet, orderly life while teaching at a ballet school. She writes letters to an unseen composer and spends evenings with her parents’ old friends. A chance encounter with Felix, a deaf‑mute man who steals money, leads to a train conversation, sparking an unlikely, passionate relationship full of contrast and unspoken feelings.
